Zachary Silver
Zach Silver is a retired elementary school teacher and lifelong musician who wants to spend the rest of his career inspiring young musicians to carry the love of music into the future. Zach began his musical adventures very early, banging on pots and pans and singing along to his family’s record collection. Zach’s dad plays guitar, piano, trumpet, and ukulele, so it was inevitable that Zach would pursue music. Then at about four or five years old, Zach fell in love with the fiddle, also known as the violin. He took lessons and began playing in local Suzuki play-ins, fiddle contests, and at age 12, he was the California State Junior Junior Champion. He went on to be in rock, funk, and bluegrass country bands around the San Joaquin County. He currently plays violin in the Valley Community Orchestra and Polecat Rebellion.
