RUTH CHRISTENSEN

I am Ruth Christensen and I’m from Tucson, Arizona. I have a degree in Flute Performance from the University of Arizona and I was the Piccolo player in the Tucson Symphony for 3 years before leaving for graduate school.

While working on a Master’s degree in Flute performance at Michigan State University, I held a graduate assistantship and taught flute to many of the undergraduate students. I have taught all levels of flute students from beginners to college level players and I’ve enjoyed working with young flutists at Sayla Academy of Music for several years. I have 3 adult sons and love I working with children. 

Since moving to the Stockton area in 1994, I have played with the Stockton Symphony, the former Townsend Opera Players, (now Opera Modesto) Zion Chamber Orchestra, Valley Community Orchestra, Stockton Concert Band, and the Valley Concert Band.
