Kanthi Perera is a classic pianist and piano teacher; with 25 years of dedicated experience as both a piano educator and administrator in the Department of Education in Sri Lanka, Kanthi has had the privilege of guiding countless students to develop a deep love and understanding of music. She holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's in Education from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, as well as a Licentiate Diploma (LTCL) in Piano Performance from Trinity College London. Additionally, Kanthi is an ABRSM-certified voice teacher.

Her teaching philosophy centers around introducing students to a wide array of piano styles, including classical, popular, and spiritual music. Kanthi places a strong emphasis on building a solid foundation in music theory, technical skills, rhythm, and sound quality. She aims to equip students with the tools they need to approach and enjoy any piece of music, fostering a lifelong passion for playing the piano.

Her goal is to teach her students how to learn to play any musical piece so they might enjoy music for the rest of their lives.
