Growing up in Taiwan, I lived next to a music school for gifted children. It just happened naturally that I 'majored' in music since the age of six. I was educated in all aspects of music, participated in orchestra, chamber music, but in particular piano performance. Music became a fantastic road to travel as it brought me to America for my continued education at the Juilliard School where I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees. While in New York, I had the honor to perform at the Avery Fisher Hall and Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center.
Some teachers are so passionate about music that they can intimidate or stress out their students. I’d like to think that I have the opposite effect and believe that learning music should be enjoyable for students. Learning piano is a joyful undertaking and each student is unique in what he or she wants to achieve. I am here to share my knowledge and technique and help the students express their artistry through piano.
