AUSTIN KIM
Drums
Austin is a freelance musician in the greater Northern California area. He received his bachelor’s degree in jazz performance from University of the Pacific, where he was selected to partake in the Pacific Jazz Ambassadors scholarship program (formerly known as the Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet). Austin has been musically mentored by Lewis Nash, Carl Allen, Bill Wysaske, and Kenny Dennis. Up to this point in his music career, he has been fortunate enough to perform at such venues as the Hollywood Bowl, Dizzy’s Coca Cola Club, and the Monterey Jazz Festival. Additionally, he has shared the stage with Terell Stafford, Cyrille Aimée, Joel Ross, Lucas Pino, John Fedchock, and more. When not working on music, Austin enjoys running, reading, and meditating.
